ALVA REESE has saturated hot pink blooms with a slightly darker eye and very small yellow to green throat.  The elaborately ruffled edges are trimmed with gold - which intensifies as the season progresses.  Three to four-way branching with 20 buds and fertile both ways.  An extraordinary parent and garden favorite.  This flower is named in memory of my favorite aunt.
