FLORENCE FOSTER JENKINS

(Selman 2025)

(TICKLED SILLY X ALL THINGS TO ALL MEN)

32" M Re DOR 5.5" TET

Orchid pink with lavender blue watermark etched magenta and triple edge of magenta, lavender blue and toothy gold over yellow to green throat. Three-way branching with 14 or more buds and fertile both ways.

Named for the legendary American socialite and amateur lyric soprano who became known, and mocked, for her flamboyant performance costumes and notably poor singing ability. It has been said no one, before or since, has succeeded in liberating themselves quite so completely from the shackles of musical notation.
