Definitely different, MAN OF THE HOUR has uniquely colored blooms that always get noticed in the garden. Blooms are a peachy-orange-mauve blend with a rosy-purple eye above an orange throat. There are three distinct colors in the ruffled edge starting with raspberry-pink turning to rosy-purple and finished with an outer band of gold. As the bloom season progresses, the edge can be much more elaborate than shown in the image. Scapes are stocky with three to four-way branching and 20 to 24 buds. MAN OF THE HOUR has produced many wild and wonderful kids with triple edges, unusual color combinations and monstrous scapes. Fertile both ways. Grandparent of ‘WEIRD SCIENCE’.
